City Acts Massively to Solve Traffic Jam

Jakarta Provincial Government acts massively to solve traffic jam in Jakarta. One of the solutions is to provide Light Rail Transit (LRT) as the fast, safe, and comfort mass transportation.

This June, LRT phase 1 operational will be tested

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno said, Jakarta Government wants more people to travel using public transportation as soon as possible.

LRT Phase II Project will Use KPDBU Scheme

"This June, LRT phase 1 operational will be tested. After it is operated, we hope it can reduce traffic density, especially from Kelapa Gading to Velodrome, Rawamangun," he stated after attending Public Consultation of LRT Phase II Project, Velodrome-Tanah Abang, at City Hall, Wednesday (6/6).

According to him, LRT phase II public consultation on that day will be a milestone to support people to use public transportation.

"On phase II, it also becomes our concern. Because LRT phase II will be an integrated part to solve traffic jam in Tanah Abang," he explained.

He added, LRT phase II construction will be realized using Regional Government and Business Entity Cooperation (KPDBU) concept.

"We will cooperate with business entity to built its infrastructure. We want this LRT to solve traffic jam in Jakarta effectively," he affirmed.
